Beauty: 4 music-inspired products to try this autumn

Celebrating the power of live shows we’ve been missing this summer

Summer is almost over and if there’s one thing that I’ve really missed, due to the pandemic, is live music. Yes, in Italy we can still go to concerts (with the proper precautions), but I’m talking about those big stadium events that music junkies like me are used to.

Facts are we haven’t enjoyed summer at the top of its game, so how can we be happy about the new season approaching? Autumn is my favorite, actually, but it’s never been so sad. I thought that, since live shows are still far away, we can celebrate them with some beauty products that remind us of the power of live music: a nail polish with soul, lipstick and mascara with rock vibes and a fragrance inspired by jazz. Here they are: 4 music-inspired products to get in the mood for the new season.

A versatile pale pink, with a gorgeous gel-effect, that matches every makeup look. Rimmel London, Super Gel Nail Polish n.012 Soul Session, £3,99. (www.rimmellondon.com)

If you’re looking for a show-stopper, look no further: this bright and vibrant red gives you a matte finish that lasts all day. NARS, Powermatte Lip Pigment in Don’t Stop, $26. (www.narscosmetics.com)

Officially, this is a fragrance for men with notes of rum, tobacco and vanilla bean. However, if you’re used to warm, spicy, unisex scents you’re going to love this. Maison Martin Margiela, Replica – Jazz Club (100ml) €100. (www.maisonmargiela-fragrances.eu)

This mascara has an innovative formula that never runs, smudges or flakes. The guitar-shaped wand gives you length and amplified volume. Eyeko, Rock Out & Lash Out Mascara (8ml) $26. (www.eyeko.com)
