Queen Cersei employs wizardry to evoke Richard III in “Ill Ray (The King)”
Feeling lost after Game of Thrones finale? Unfortunately we have to wait until 2019 for the 8th and last season of the TV show but, for now, we have something to console ourselves with: actress Lena Headey, a.k.a. Queen Cersei, stars in new Kasabian’s video Ill Ray (The King). The english band unveiled the video for the song this morning.
Ill Ray (The King) is the third single from Kasabian’s latest album For Crying Out Loud: filmed in Leicester, the video for the song features Lena as a dissatisfied and eccentric woman looking for a partner: she uses black magic to evoke selfish and dissolute King Richard III, portrayed by actor Michael Socha (This Is England).
The unusual couple hangs out in the city, having fun for while, until the woman realizes she’s not comfortable with the King’s behavior and decides to put an end to the spell.
For Crying Out Loud was released in May 2017 and Kasabian will perform live next autumn to promote the album: at the moment, the band announced 12 dates in the UK and Ireland.
